Jan Erickson

One day I realized that my voice was expressed on behalf of others, rather than myself. It felt like I had lost something of myself along the way, so I started a blog to find my voice again. It began as Eternally Dazed and Confused, because it seemed that I was. Now..I'm not, so I changed its name to Stepping Aiside..a blog post with that name explains it all. I was born an Empath, self-initiating as a Solitary Wicce when I was 8 years old in the woods behind my home in Alaska. Hedgewitchery and an eclectic approach to witchcraft emphasizing empathic awareness are my focus. I love runes and tarot and love sharing what I learn from them. I've earned a BA in Psychology, a Black Belt in Kenpo and I'm a Reiki Master. I'm a student of A Course in Miracles, and a cannabis patient and activist. I garden, raise worms in my kitchen, have a backyard beehive, and I walk daily. The thing is, as women, we sometimes forget to stand in our own power. And we also forget to stand with each other. I talk about a lot of things in this blog, but I hope the need to do both comes through.

One last thing, on 2 January 2016, I published my first book, Confessions of a Back Porch Herbalist in Kindle format on Amazon, an exhilarating and scarily amazing experience!
