Lara Oboler

It was Dr. Oboler’s keen medical insight, impatience with Mother Nature, and belief in the power of women to shape their own destiny that inspired her to start PregPrep. Lara is not only PregPrep’s co-founder, she is also an interventional cardiologist and mother of three. Dr. Oboler received her Bachelor of Science from Tufts University and her MD from George Washington University. She did her residency at Mount Sinai Hospital under the mentorship of the world-renowned Dr. Valentin Fuster and completed her specialized training with fellowships at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. Lara has had the opportunity to highlight her interest in women’s health issues by performing hundreds of leading-edge interventions on women with coronary artery disease. Through PregPrep, she has successfully combined her dedication to women’s health, her vast medical expertise, and her enthusiasm for the experience of motherhood into a single, highly rewarding enterprise. When she’s not fixing hearts or putting band-aids on her own kids’ knees, Dr. Oboler is researching new ways to improve the health and experience of women before, during, and after pregnancy. Lara currently practices with the Lenox Hill Heart and Vascular Institute and resides in New York City with her husband and 3 children.
