Laurie Metzger Petrausch

First a ballet dancer and ballet instructor, then a horticulturist, but always a writer. My latest endeavors include wife and mother building a life abroad in Bavaria, Germany.

Focusing on my career and pursuing my passions always made sense to me. Somehow doing just that introduced me to my husband and a whole new world or at least a whole new country.  Before that I was a confirmed single lady--independent and driven. Although I always liked the sound of doing something for loveactually making a decision based on a relationship with another person never seemed to fit into my life and certainly didn’t seem practical or safe. To this day I still think it is important to remember that you are the most important character in your story. The man or woman who may or may not be right around the corner is not. It is not the person who comes into your life, who is going to change everything for you, you will change everything for you.

My professional expertise is in writing, teaching and management. But my real insights are the life lessons learned in the process.
