Marina DelVecchio

With an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte, I teach writing, American Literature, and Women’s Studies courses as a full-time professor in North Carolina. My writing can be found online at the Ms. MagazineThe Huffington PostHer Circle EzineThe New Agenda, BlogHer, and She Writes. I have been published in print by Cengage Learning’s anthology on Media and Violence against Women (2013) and She Writes’ collection of essays titled Three Minus One (2014). I have worked as a contributing women’s literature reviewer for Her Circle Ezine and assistant editor of poetry and non-fiction for the QU Literary Magazine. My magazine feature articles have won in the Writer's Digest Annual Writing Competition for the past five consecutive years, one of which has awarded me with a literary agent for a book project titled "If You Want It, Come and Get It": How Today's Pop Music Hypersexualizes Girls and Women. Lastly, I was a finalist for the 2015 Tiferet Writing Contest, and my immersion memoir craft essay, "Bibliomemoirs for Bibliophiles," has been published by the Tishman Review(2016).
