Shannon Gauger

We are 2 Mommy friends that want to help Moms. We aim to identify with your heart as a woman and parent.  Articles include "10 Confessions of a Mom", "Quiet Boxes for Kids", and "Addendum to the Household Rules."   Daily Momtivity was created by Moms, for Moms.  We want to provide a little encouragement, fun and honesty, as well as practical how-to's that fit a busy schedule.  

Nicole is often  called “Mommy”, “Mama” or “Mother” (that last one gives me chills).  My husband and I met 9 years ago, became friends and upon discovering our hearts made each other very happy, we fell in love.  We have been married for 7 years, and truth-be-told, we are very different from one another.  But, our hearts for the Lord and our commitment to our families is our bond.  At the center of our love is our 2 beautiful blessings from God, our blond-headed, happy, adorable girls.  We are madly in love with them, and they are madly in love with us too.  The snuggles, “I love you’s” and kisses are abundant in our home.  Are we perfect?  Noooooooooooooo.  My husband and I argue. My kids tantrum and disobey.  I get easily annoyed or stressed out.  There is dust everywhere.  But at the heart of our home is our love for Christ, and by his grace, we are able to walk out life better than we ever could on our own.  I am still learning how to extend grace to myself, and I struggle with feelings of inadequacy as a Mom and Wife.  On a good day, I know that I am doing a good job, and I am proud of how I take care of my family.  I love to write, to try new recipes (a lot them are fails, but I keep trying!), and my guilty pleasure is reality TV.

Shannon:  I’m a Mommy, Teacher, and Wife. Welcome to my Crazy Life! My sweet loves are my 8 year old and 2 year old.  We live in the great state of Texas! By day, I’m a Special Education teacher. I wear many hats (like most moms) and sometimes I feel like I am barely keeping up.  My kids keep me going and make me smile every day. We only get one shot at this life so I want to make every day count!  I have plenty of Mommy/Wife/ Teacher fails but I keep trying.   Things that make me smile? I love my family, taking pictures, my phone, Sonic ice, chocolate, shopping, labs, traveling, Texas, blogging, all things black and white, Pinterest, and lots of reality tv. I love trying out new recipes and trying to craft.
