Get your family into the Irish spirit by celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with fun and easy crafts. We’ve rounded up our favorite shamrock crafts that are sure to get your little leprechauns leaping for joy.
Pool noodle
shamrock wreath
We spotted this creative shamrock wreath on AllFeeHolidayCrafts.com and couldn’t believe that it was made from pool noodles! Created by Kimberly Mueller, who writes the blog bugaboo, mini, mr & me, this lucky noodle wreath is crafted from a swim noodle (yes, the kind that floats in your pool), green yarn, hot glue and scissors. Who knew that floating foam could look so chic?
Mini shamrock art
Add a little glam to your crafts with glitter shamrocks. Crafter Kristol Charles from The Magic of Ordinary Things put this artwork together using glitter shamrock stickers from a craft store, scraps of green paper, and a 5 x 5-inch frame found at a thrift store. Using ready-made stickers keeps the work minimal, saving the step of working with messy glue and making cleanup a breeze.
DIY shamrock garland
St. Patrick’s Day means that spring is just around the corner. This shamrock garland has such a fresh springtime feel you’ll want to keep it up for weeks past the Irish holiday and into Easter. Created by designer Lisa Leonard, this simple paper garland was made from thick cardstock, brads, a hole punch, scissors and twine. We love the simple green-and-blue color palette she used, but you can use St. Paddy-themed craft paper for a more festive Irish flair.

Lucky St. Patrick’s Day cards
Wish your loved ones the luck of the Irish with a homemade card, or consider making your own invitations if you’re throwing a St. Patrick’s Day party or Irish-themed dinner. Favecrafts.com has ideas for making 7 different types of custom cards for St. Paddy’s Day, including the die-cut shamrock card featured here.
Scrappy fabric shamrock
Sewers may want to check out this scrappy fabric craft from the Sewing Loft. Designer Heather Valentine put together this quilt-inspired shamrock craft using green fabric scraps, felt, a button and poly fill. While we think it’s adorable as is, Valentine tied it onto a candy bar wrapped in white paper. What a cute party favor for a St. Paddy’s Day bash!
“Pinch on” print
In a pinch to find a quick craft project? This shamrock print from the Hands-On Housewife is so cute, even those who aren’t in touch with their inner crafter will be inspired to get creative. The print can be framed for easy DIY St. Patrick’s day decor or used for paper crafts like cards and scrapbooks. Print out multiple copies, punch holes on the sides, and string through yarn or twine for a fun party banner.
