The most commonly purchased and less expensive human hair extensions are non-remy, with roots and tips mixed in to the extension. They can be purchased in a grade called “tangle-free.” This type is obtained by shaving off the cuticles or the ends to reduce friction among the hairs and minimize snarling. Single drawn non-remy sets may have a 2 inch length difference in the strands incorporated into the extension. Non-remy double drawn sets are very good quality with consistent strand length throughout the extension.
