Need a little inspiration for a new winter ‘do? Look to the A-Listers for some ideas, from Zooey Deschanel’s cute fringe to Emma Watson’s crop and Rihanna’s latest shave.

The New Girl star is famous for her big blue eyes, signature dark eyeliner and cute bangs. She knows how to work the heavy fringe and teams it with upstyles like a classic twist or let loose with gorgeous waves. She creates plenty of body and volume with a few layers cut into the ends and height on top.
Her fringe is blow-dried smooth to sit flat on her forehead and frame her face, while the loose curls work to soften the look. While a fringe can require a bit of extra work in the mornings, a few minutes with a hair straightener will help smooth it out. Use your straightener or curling tongs to create soft curls and spray with a little hairspray or sea salt spray to hold.

The Harry Potter star and face of Lancôme attracted media attention worldwide when she chopped her shoulder-length brown locks into a cute pixie cut. She transformed her image from the young U.K. actress best known for her role as Hermione to a fashion icon with a Burberry modelling contract tucked up her sleeve.
Now it looks like American actress Anne Hathaway has followed in Emma’s footsteps with a similar cut for her new role as Fantine in a movie adaptation of Les Miserables.
Rihanna
Rihanna has never been one to shy away from bold moves. The queen of reinvention, this Barbadian singer has gone through many hair transformations over the years, from red to brown to blonde to black, from short to long and everything in between. Now her latest change has been to long jet-black locks with a shaved patch above her left temple. She’s posted a few pics of her new hairstyle on Instagram, which is rather similar to an earlier shaved style she sported several years ago. The style attracted many imitators back in the day, and this new ‘do is sure to attract hordes of copycats once again.
Photos of the singer at the 2012 Coachella music festival show her with her locks flicked over to one side to reveal the side-undercut. This style is certainly one for the brave!
