Gwyneth Paltrow is just full of beauty advice. This time, she’s advising us on where to get our skincare products.
Gwyneth Paltrow might be a transplant to the U.K. — thanks to her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin — but she looks across the English Channel to get her beauty products.
“I stock up on products from French pharmacies,” Paltrow tells Cosmopolitan UK. “They have amazing burn creams and makeup removers. I love how French actresses age but don’t really do anything about it — it’s beautiful.”
And by “don’t really do anything about it,” she means they don’t get cosmetic enhancements like Botox. The Goop gal hasn’t been shy about expressing her disgust over the facial filler — and she repeated it again to the mag.
“I don’t like Botox. I think on some faces it works, but it’s when you can really see it that it starts to look fake,” the 40-year-old tells the mag. “I think people look at tiny patches of their face and try to fix everything — they’ve lost the plot!”
Instead, the mom of Moses and Apple credits her youthful appearance to regular radio frequency–based facials, Tracy Anderson and her controversial gluten-free lifestyle.
“I think diet and exercise play a huge part in aging well. I like the Tracy Anderson Method — it’s really fun and a great way to burn calories!” Paltrow says, adding that she does indulge on things like Starbucks.
“I’ll have a cappuccino,” she adds of her go-to treat. “My guilty snack in the UK is cheese, and in America, things on buns: a lobster roll and French fries, or a turkey burger with cheese.”
Surprisingly, the pale actress thinks tanning is just fine and dandy, despite the skin cancer risk.
“We’re human beings and the sun is the sun — how can it be bad for you? I think we should all get sun and fresh air,” she continues. “I don’t think anything that is natural can be bad for you — it’s really good to have at least 15 minutes of sun a day.”
It’s not bad for you — as long as you’re wearing plenty of sunscreen!
