Looking to update your closet for a new season? Start by switching up your color palette. We’re sharing outfit inspiration around some of the gorgeous hues from Pantone’s fall color report for 2013. This week it’s all about soft and stylish Deep Lichen Green.
Deep Lichen Green
Deep Lichen Green is a gorgeous hue and one we find versatile as well as easy to build an outfit around. The gray-green shade can work in most settings and it offers much in the way of inspiration — as you can see from our outfit ideas below.
Pretty and pulled together
A classic pencil skirt in our new favorite fall hue is a great base for a pretty and polished outfit. Add a splash of color with a vibrant blouse (pink works great with most neutral hues), and complete the outfit with some patent pumps and a roomy, structured satchel.
Skirt (Intermix, $198), patent leather pumps (net-a-porter.com, $150),
short sleeve blouse (topshop.com, $70), embossed black satchel (revolveclothing.com, $250)
Cold weather comfort
This time we’re starting our Deep Lichen Green look with a cozy sweater that you can wear anywhere and that can easily be dressed up or down. Skinny jeans and leather boots complete the comfortably chic ensemble and the bright purse helps pull everything together.
Knitted jumper (Topshop, $68), skinny jeans (shopzoeonline, $198),
leather boots (asos.com, $144), vegan leather shoulder bag (urbanoutfitters.com, $69)
Go-anywhere gorgeous
Since ankle boots can elevate any look, both casual and more formal, we’re starting off at the bottom with a cute pair that also happens to be waterproof. Pair the booties with skinny black pants, a soft sweater in a delicious shade of deep lichen green and some beaded drop earrings for a look that can go from the office into evening with ease.
Ankle booties (neimanmarcus.com, $140), skinny ankle pants (lordandtaylor.com, $89),
cashmere sleeve sweater (The Outnet, $168), beaded earrings (farfetch.com, $116)
