Kate Hudson is adding another job to her already impressive resume: fashion designer for Ann Taylor.
Kate Hudson: Clothing designer?
It’s true! We love the actress’s cool style, and now she’s getting in on the celebrity clothing line trend with her new capsule collection for Ann Taylor. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the Hudson-designed collection will include “a lineup of looks inspired by her red-carpet style, reinterpreted for everyday occasions.”
The collection will hit stores in May — and if her Golden Globes look is any indication, we’re in for a treat.
The trick to her effortless style? She doesn’t put a lot of thought into her looks.
“I like people who just throw stuff on ’cause they like it. But with just a little jazz. Oh, yes! Jazz,” she told Harper’s Bazaar in 2012.
“[I always do] black eyeliner all around the eye, and inside the upper eyelid, see? I don’t have that much stuff,” she continued.
However, she does love getting dolled up for premieres and other events. We would too — especially with access to a beauty team like hers.
“I did a vintage Versace that was kind of totally naked for a Skeleton Key premiere. I loved that dress,” Kate gushed. “I wore the cutest black dress in the campaign [for Ann], and I wore their scarf to the airport yesterday, and it was perfect.”
As for her line? She says it’ll be made for the average professional woman.
“I’m not a big flats person, as you can tell,” she continued to Harper’s. Her fashion line will be filled with “the things that I wear all the time, you know?”
We just hope it’s work friendly, ’cause we’ll definitely be buying!
