Outfit inspiration for fall

If asked to pick one season I prefer over all others, the first word out of my mouth would definitely be “fall!” With the weather changing and cooler months on the horizon, there is an endless variety of style options to explore. From incorporating warm layers to breathing new life into your favorite pieces from summer, I’ve crafted two cute and cozy looks for those autumn days that call for a touch of edgy chic and retro femininity!

First up, I absolutely love shorts. I would wear them every day of the year — yes, even through the winter (if it weren’t so cold). Thankfully, I am still able to rock my favorite trend in the fall with the addition of some killer tights. Whether you choose to accent a bold print with solid tights like I did, or play around with pattern mixing, this is a great chance to get more life out of your summer garb while living in a cooler climate. Add on weather appropriate favorites like an infinity scarf and a moto style jacket with sky-high platforms to bring out your inner fashion diva.

My girly side is pretty crazy about flirty floral prints. While I am a supporter of wearing even the brightest patterns during any month of the year, there is something special about playing around with a warm color palette in autumn. For my second look, I chose to work from a neutral printed halter dress. The addition of a flowy cardigan provides both warmth and a nice layer of texture. With fun pops of burgundy, mustard and orange straight from the fall landscape, this is the kind of look that takes you from the office to date night with the bat of an eye.
