What were you wearing when you were a toddler? Probably hand-me-downs from family and friends. But not baby North West: She’s already rocking top couture — and she’s only a few months old!
Is it bad to be jealous of an infant? Probably, but we’re feeling a little green with envy over a baby’s designer duds for a second time this year. First, we were a bit jealous about Blue Ivy Carter’s custom Tom Ford heels.
Now 3-month-old North West is hitting it out of the fashion park. Mom Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to thank her various designer friends for all of the duds they sent in honor of baby North West.
Among the loot? Frilly skirts from Lanvin, gender-neutral wear from Celine, a leather dress from Alexander Wang, a white lab coat from Maison Martin Margiela and a custom Bambi T-shirt from Givenchy.
Baby Nori will fit in well with her fashion-conscious parents. The pair took their first trip to Paris sans baby to attend Paris Fashion Week. The new mom looks amazing, and we can’t help but realize her fashion choices — though still revealing — are much, much different from the tight, bright colors she used to wear.
Of course, West is responsible for a lot of that. He took an active role in influencing Kardashian’s wardrobe after they started dating, even buying her all-new outfits once she agreed to throw out her old gear.
“That was from a place of love,” he told The New York Times of the controversial incident, documented on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “Because I just see like, an amazing person that I’m in love with that I want to help.”
