Leave it up to Beyoncé to make “just out of the shower” hair chic again!
The ’90s are back and better than ever, and not just when it comes to fashion. Apparently hair, too! Beyoncé debuted a new, much shorter ‘do, not to mention wet curls, for her hot and steamy “Drunk In Love” opening performance with hubby Jay Z at this year’s Grammys.
Wet hair for the Grammys, though? Who would have thought? Definitely not us, but if anyone can pull it off, Bey sure can. She really rocked out that crunchy bob like a boss on stage.
To go along with her sexy, just-out-of-the-shower hair, she donned an equally come-hither get-up as well. Beyoncé busted a move in a bad-to-the-bone black Nichole de Carle bodysuit, Saint Laurent crystal tights, a custom-made bra and Stuart Weitzman shoes with Jennifer Fisher jewelry to top it off.
Funny enough, in an interview with Allure magazine a few years back, she revealed that her favorite hairstyle isn’t a far cry from exactly what we saw tonight.
“In real life, I like natural curls as opposed to ‘I just put a curling iron through my hair’— almost bedhead,” she told the magazine. “Not too perfect. I love when my color grows out a little bit and the tips of my hair look sun-kissed.”
Right on. Now if only we could pull off the whole wet hair look as flawlessly as she did. Err, here’s hoping.
