Elizabeth Banks and Sarah Hyland‘s beautiful celebrity styles made us do a double take this week! We’re telling you why in this week’s installment of Friday’s Fashion Obsessions.
Elizabeth Banks
And my love affair with jumpsuits continues! Elizabeth Banks took the hot trend in a new direction with a multicolor strapless number at a red carpet premiere, and looked simply fantastic.
Jumpsuits are hard enough to wear without adding the extra pressure of a strapless top, but Elizabeth’s petite frame is perfect for the daring silhouette. I’m seriously admiring the polka dot bust and the fun pop of pink at the waist — both details that make this jumpsuit stand out. To top off the look, Elizabeth threw on some glossy black pumps and a cool v-shaped ring.
The final verdict? As if this outfit could get any better, Elizabeth covered her pout in a pretty pink that matched the stripe on her jumpsuit. Adorable, no? A glossy updo with sideswept bangs was the perfect finishing touch!
Sarah Hyland
To celebrate her new release, Vampire Academy, Sarah Hyland worked the red carpet in an oxblood strapless tea length dress that I’m crushing on.
When you’re so petite like Sarah, you’re automatically at risk of looking too cutesy in a party dress, but she makes it work with great tailoring, a sleek hairstyle and some leg-lengthening pumps. The structured bust on this dress also adds some grownup detail that sets it apart from the stereotypical strapless prom dress look. Another aspect I’m digging? The gorgeous ruffles and pleats. So pretty!
The final verdict? This could easily have turned into a prom-gone-wrong look without the right accessories and mature, subdued beauty choices, but Sarah managed to take it into the glam zone. Love it!
