8 Black, shiny, studded gowns at the Grammys

The theme for this year’s Grammys? Black, and plenty of it. The looks are anything but boring, though: These stars went way embellished with the designer looks.

1. Gwen Stefani

Gwen’s Atelier Versace jumpsuit is less like an outfit and more like art, don’t you think? The half nude, half black bodice is most definitely a throwback to her punk No Doubt style.

2. Meghan Trainor

Our lips were definitely moving — to say wow — when Meghan Trainor showed up on the red carpet wearing this sheer black creation by Galia Lahav. We’ve seen the mini-dress with sheer overlay a lot, but something about the dramatic pattern on this dress definitely puts it on top of the list.

3. Miley Cyrus

Holy Pilates body! Miley Cyrus looks amazing in her black maxi dress that, like Trainor, looks much like other cutout dresses we’ve seen this season. Well, that’s until you see the back. The cutouts on the sides show off her amazing body… and the strappy top shows off plenty of beautiful back. Hot.

4. Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj knows how to take control of a room, or in this case, the red carpet. The 32-year-old rapper walked the red carpet in an all-black Tom Ford dress with plenty of sequin fringe on the skirt.

5. Kat Graham

The Vampire Diaries star immediately caught our eye in her black Yanina Couture gown that features a white swirl burst from the center. We can’t stop looking at her… and we’re definitely not complaining.

6. Kelly Osbourne

Kelly Osbourne’s gorgeous Cristian Siriano gown reminds us of a sky filled with stars. The dress is incredibly sexy with the high neck and sleeves — and her purple hair gives the right pop of color to top off the look.

7. Jessie J.

“Bang, Bang” singer Jessie J also went for the sheer overlay look with her Ralph and Russo gown, but she manages to look completely different than Trainor. The high neckline and floral embellishments make the dress super glam and her slick-backed strands against her porcelain skin make it a way sophisticated look we love.

8. Beyonce

Finally, Beyonce. The end.
