Spring fashion trends from Fashion Week

You might think it’s too early to start thinking about spring fashion. However with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week going on in New York, we are getting a look into some of the hottest trends from Spring 2009.

Spring 2009 Fashion Week runs from September 5-12, 2008. People flock from around the globe to NYC to see the latest from some of the top designers in the world. Pictured above, Lindsay Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson sit in the front row at the Charlotte Ronson show. Charlotte is Samantha’s sister. With several designers having shows each day, here are a few of our favorites from Fashion Week so far.

BCBG Max Azria

The fashions from BCBG Max Azria were cool and chic with draped dresses in soft pretty colors. Though dominated by neutrals, the collection did include some dramatic bright shades such as orange and teal. The simple dresses are sensible yet sexy, with some featuring deep armholes and high slits.

Diane von Furstenberg

Always classy and sophisticated, Diane von Furtsenberg’s Spring 2009 collection offers a bit of funk and fun with hats and headpieces, flowing sheaths and colorful prints. All the pieces are very feminine and flirty. You will see lots of lace, ruffles and florals. The collection also includes a lot of silk pants, which are very comfortable yet pretty. Jennifer Lopez, Leighton Meester, Rosario Dawson and Uma Thurman were among the celebs that took in the show.

Nicole Miller

Nicole Miller’s mosiac, carnival-like print dresses are a pretty choice for spring. Her draped silk jersey dresses are easy-to-wear and feature asymmetrical lines. Her designs are figure flattering and work well for most women.
