12 Ways to wake up gorgeous

Beauty sleep is underrated. At night, our skin and body repairs itself — making sleep one of the most important factors in feeling and looking beautiful. To enhance this crucial part of your beauty regimen, try some of these time-saving treatments while you sleep. You’ll wake up looking gorgeous and refreshed.

Use a humidifier in your bedroom.

Moisture is an essential ingredient beautiful skin. Since most of us live in dry climates, a humidifier is an easy way to get much-needed hydration. Humidifiers also help with snoring and colds, so everyone sleeps better.

Sleep on a satin or silk pillow.

The smooth surface causes less irritation and pulling on your skin.

Sleep on your back.

Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated to help prevent puffiness in your eyes and wrinkles on the side of your face. Many women notice they have more wrinkles on the side of their faces that they sleep on.

Use Frownies.

Prevent lines while you sleep with Frownies — patches that adhere to your skin on areas with wrinkles (such as crows’ feet or between the eyes). Worn while you sleep, they prevent your face from making the facial expressions that cause wrinkles.

Deep condition.

Wash your hair before you sleep, and comb a deep conditioner into it. Wear a shower cap to bed (and warn your significant other about this!) so you don’t ruin your sheets.

Apply skin treatments to meet your needs.

If you have acne, try an ointment with salicylic acid; for uneven or wrinkled skin, try a retinol, vitamin and anti-oxidant formula.
