Top 3 gel eyeliners

Eyeliner comes in many forms — powder, pencil, liquid and gel. If you are looking for a dramatic, pigment-rich, precise line, gel is a favorite. It dries quickly and becomes virtually smudgeproof.

Most beauty brands offer gel liner in a little pot. To apply, dip your brush, wipe of the excess, then apply to the lash line. Gel liner is very buildable, so just keep applying until you get the desired intensity. Here are a couple of our favorite gel liners.

M·A·C Fluidline

This gel liner is one of the best. It dries fast, but not so fast that you don’t have time to correct any mistakes. It’s very silky and smooth yet provides a precise, tight line. It only comes in six shades — Blacktrack, Blitz & Glitz, Dipdown, Macroviolet, Rich Ground and Waveline — less than many other department store brands, but that’s enough. Priced at $15.00, you get a lot of bang for your buck from this budgeproof, smudgeproof gel liner.

Stila Smudge Pot

The Stila Smudge Pot is a favorite among makeup artists and women around the world. It’s perfect for creating the smokey eye look. You can use a little brush for a precise line or smudge it with your finger for a sultry look. This liner comes in eight terrific shades. Bronze is fantastic for evening looks, while cobalt packs a powerful playful punch. Priced at $20.00, this gel eyeliner is the most expensive of our faves.

Maybelline Lasting Drama by EyeStudio Gel Eyeliner

For something a little cheaper that you can find at your drugstore, you can’t go wrong with Maybelline’s gel eyeliner. This waterproof liner lasts and lasts…up to 24 hours. For intense, dramastic color their Blackest Black is one of the best out there. And at just under ten bucks, the price can’t be beat.
