In this week’s edition of Save/Splurge, we take on lip glosses that stay put. You’ve tried a zillion. We have, too. Some glosses slide all over your face or drip all their color into one spot on your lip. Well, we’ve got two great glosses that not only keep your entire pout shiny, but don’t evaporate after five minutes.
Splurge
In the Splurge category, we’ve got Armour glosses. Created by rocker and model Theo Kogan and her buddy Allison Burns, this line of glosses will stay exactly where you put them. They’re paraben free and the company doesn’t do animal testing. Celebrity fans include Lady Gaga, Fergie, Kate Moss and Reese Witherspoon. They come in a ton of colors named after famous rockers and their songs. I’ve used these on models and on myself during a six hour press day. Even under the lights, with no chance to reapply, my lips looked shiny at the end of the day. No feathering either!

Save
On the Save side, we’ve got NYC’s Kiss Gloss. A bit lighter than Armour, this super thrifty gloss gives really great, even shine and comes in ten different shades. I like to use this one over a lip stain or a matte lipstick. Even better? Your lips will feel smooth after you take it off.
