Poncho looks

If you think the poncho went out with hot pants and the pet rock, think again. This new fall trend may have been inspired by the ‘70s, but these are not your mother’s ponchos. Ponchos are being seen in a variety of lengths, fabrics and styles for day, evening and weekend — and staying warm has never been so much fun.

Long & wispy ponchos

The poncho is no longer the knit style with pom-pom ball ties your grandmother made for you. The new looks are showing up in lightweight fabrics that are a breeze to layer over sweaters, leggings or jeans. A billowy poncho for fall and winter — perfect over your favorite short skirt and knee-length boots or leggings and ankle boots will keep you cozy and stylish.

Soft & cuddly ponchos

Nothing feels cozier on a cool fall day than snuggling in cashmere as you stroll among the autumn leaves. A cashmere poncho is lightweight and easy to wear over multiple layers, or just toss it on over a T-shirt. Flip up the hood for that mysterious look while enjoying protection against the wind. Hoodie ponchos are snug and stylish – and just a little indulgent in dreamy cashmere!

Toasty tweed ponchos

Imagine running through a field of green grass on a cool, crisp day, bundled up in a poncho in one of fall’s hottest fabric: tweed. Earthy colors, shearling lining and plaid are all the rage this fall and are perfect over skirts and tights, jeans or trousers. Whether you’re a country or city girl, a tweed poncho – with a practical shearling-lined hood – keeps you both fashion forward and toasty warm!

Wild faux fur ponchos

The poncho and cape have merged this season into one fabulous outerwear must-have. If you love living on the wild side, faux fur animal prints are the perfect way to be stylish while staying cozy-warm. Ponchos made of (or trimmed in) faux fur will be seen everywhere this fall. Look for faux fur leopard with slash pockets, or a black and white zebra print that goes with everything. Capes are a new fashion staple and so easy to wear.
