Lauren Conrad is certainly evolving into a mega fashion-and-beauty mogul. What’s next for the super gorgeous and smart Conrad? The better question is what isn’t Conrad doing?
Lauren Conrad is taking over the retail industry and Internet, one business venture at a time. The reality star turned fashion designer and beauty expert announced that she’s planning to develop a beauty line based on her website, The Beauty Department.
“I am currently researching all of my options, but should begin the process of executing an actual line very soon — stay tuned,” Conrad wrote on her Forbes blog. “I’m also focusing on expanding my other existing brands: LC Lauren Conrad, LaurenConrad.com and Paper Crown. On top of that, I’ll be working on completing my fifth book, The Fame Game.”
She’s one busy woman!
Conrad also had some advice for aspiring entrepreneurs. “It’s important to make mistakes in your career, especially in the beginning. When you are just starting out you can make hasty decisions and take big chances since the stakes are rarely high early on. Trust me, it’s far better to learn those lessons sooner rather than later,” she wrote.
“By learning from failed opportunities, I’ve transformed past mistakes into flourishing brands and businesses. As basic as it may sound, learning from your mistakes is a vital part of becoming a successful entrepreneur.”
Lauren Conrad’s beauty line
While we won’t know the specifics about Conrad’s beauty line for a while, she has given us plenty of amazing beauty advice through The Beauty Department. There’s advice on applying wet eyeshadow, DIY headbands and even using Listerine for dandruff.
Our favorite advice? Hairstyle tips, of course.
“A lot of you ladies have been writing in and asking what is the best way to communicate with your stylist about what you would like done with your hair,” Conrad wrote in a recent post. “This is especially important if you are making a drastic change. We suggest that you always bring at least one photo in with you because pictures are a universal language. Want to go shorter? Change up your color? Try out bangs? Then get online and print out some photos or start flipping through magazines. When your hair stylist has only ‘sort of reddish — brownish, but not too dark. Ya know?’ to go off of then things can easily get lost in translation. So reduce confusion on your next visit to the salon and bring along a visual.”
We especially love the fishtail braid tutorial.
