Friday’s Fashion Obsessions: Ashley Benson’s flirty frock and Viola Davis’ pretty pink dress

Ok, so we’re a little obsessed with Pretty Little Liars, and we’re pretty smitten with Ashley Benson’s flirty black/white dress! The actress sported the playful look at last week’s People’s Choice Awards, and we’re digging it for several reasons.

First, the look is age-appropriate and fun. Ashley’s a young gal and she definitely hasn’t fallen into the trap that so many other young fashion stars do — dressing too old for their age. It can be tempting to rock a mature look at an awards show, but we love it when Hollywood’s young stars come out in age-appropriate styles like this one.

Next, the whole style just works overall. From her loose carefree curls and fresh makeup to her dress’ voluminous skirt and that pretty pink polish, Ashley has followed through on the style she was trying to create. Plus, there’s nothing quite like a classic white and black look! Well done, Ash.

Viola Davis

Viola’s turn! The Help star showed up to a Golden Globes party last weekend dressed to impress and we sure noticed. We’ve been spotting a lot of stars sporting sassy pink hues lately (We’re totally obsessed with this Ginnifer Goodwin look!), and we’re digging the style trend. It can be tempting to settle for dark, boring hues in the winter months, but we like that Viola chose a pop of color here! The dress is figure-flattering without being over the top, and she totally pulled off the matching sophisticated hair/makeup (loving that deep lip color!). Nice work, Viola!
