We’re still running around Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week to bring you our favorite Fall/Winter 2012 fashion collections directly from the front row at Lincoln Center. Next up… Tracy Reese.
Tracy Reese really is the expert in incorporating wearable loud and fun printed shifts, pants and skirts into her fashion collections, and this season was no exception. She stuck to her roots and sent girly, yet sophisticated designs down the runway. A mix of reds, greens and yellows really made everything stand out for fall — especially for a season primarily made up of black and gray.
What we saw
Color, color and more color. Whether a bright purple dress or a bright orange turtleneck sweater, Reese had fun with every piece in her collection. Her intricate beading in some of the pieces instantly grabbed our attention, especially in the dress that closed the show.
Our favorite piece
The metallics! We love nothing more than a metallic accessory to spice up any outfit. Reese had the most amazing gold top-handle bags that every woman needs in her closet this fall.
What you’ll see in street style
While you will of course continue to see dark colors throughout the streets this fall, you also will see a sprinkling of bright colors and prints. So think spring when dressing this September. We suggest trying a pop of red, like Reese’s tomato-colored pants and blouses! Adding a bright color with a dark sweater or skirt will instantly make you stand out.
