All My Children is back and better than ever. Stars of the formerly cancelled soap, including Heather Roop, appeared at this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards.
Heather Roop attended the 40th Daytime Emmy Awards wearing a dress to die for. The actress was representing the newly revived websoap All My Children, which previously aired on ABC. Roop talked shop with SheKnows about what’s next for her character, Jane McIntyre.

Prospect Park, the producer of both All My Children and One Life to Live, recently changed its airing schedule. The shows went from running four days a week to just two. Because of that shift, the storylines will take longer to tell.
Roop’s Jane is one of many characters that have fallen victim to this. “Fans are going to have to wait a little bit longer to see her story unfold,” she says. “Right now Jane has very much been the confidant, the caretaker, the friend to everybody, especially Petey. But in about a month you’re going to start to see what’s going on.”

We pushed for more details, but the actress swore she couldn’t spoil anything. “I’m dying to give you hints. I’m dying to tell my mom!” Roop just gave us something to ponder.
“I would say it’s really cute to see people see chemistry between me and different actors. That’s the best that I can give. When you see a little moment, there might be something there.”
Speaking of future relationships, what would Roop like to see Jane tackle down the line?
“I hope we see how she’s woven into the families… I hope you see which family member she’s related to on some level. And maybe a little more love and less crying.”
