The Swedish DJ duo Icona Pop is packing up their turntables and hitting the road for an awesome U.S. summer tour.
In 2009, after a hard breakup, Aino Jawo was invited to tag along to a party held at Caroline Hjelt’s house in Sweden.

Four weeks later, Caroline and Aino were besties, had written their first songs together and were ready to perform as Icona Pop.
But it wasn’t until recently that their dance hit “I Love It” hit the U.S. (like a car crashing into a bridge, if you will).
Since then, “I Love It” has been featured in the HBO hit Girls, Fox’s Glee, as the theme song for the MTV show Snooki & JWoww and landed them a performance on Dancing With the Stars.

But the Swedish DJ duo is much more than one (extremely catchy) song.
And while we could listen to “I Love It” a million times in a row, the tour will give fans a chance to hear what else the ladies have to offer.
For instance, check out Icona Pop’s latest track, “Girlfriend,” which borrows its lyrics from both Jay-Z and Tupac.
