Dax Shepard may be sexy, but he isn’t exactly vegetarian! The actor has confessed to PETA on Twitter, pointing out their title is foul… or ‘fowl,’ if you will.
Dax Shepard has a bone to pick with PETA. While the actor may wish he was a vegetarian, and has no beef with being called sexy, he hasn’t exactly been eating a diet they would applaud.
After being named to the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animal’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities list along with his future wife, the new dad took to Twitter to clear a few things up.

“I’m really flattered to be named ‘Sexiest Vegetarian’ with ?@IMKristenBell, but sadly I can’t accept in good conscience because I eat chicken,” Shepard tweeted Thursday afternoon.
The funny guy went on to explain that, while his diet deviates, he does wish he deserved the honor, adding, ‘”I was vegan for a year, but that ended 6 months ago. I aspire to be more like ?@IMKristenBell, but I’m not there yet.”

Luckily, no red paint (or flour) will be flung the 38 year old’s way, as PETA has decided to take the high road and applaud Shepard’s vegetarian aspirations.
“We’re delighted to recognize Kristen Bell as our Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrity,” the animal rights group that has a habit of prying celebrities out of their clothes said in a statement.
“She sets a wonderful example of kindness to animals and healthy living to her countless fans, including Dax! We love Dax, and we’re glad to read that he’s aspiring to be more like Kristen. We are here to help with recipes and our vegetarian starter kit, and we’ll be sending the couple a delicious gift basket of Beyond Meat and Garden veggie-chicken products.”
