Les Misérables star Amanda Seyfried is tackling the role of porn star Linda Lovelace — a role that has reportedly been turned down by other actresses — for the upcoming film Lovelace.
The movie, which is based on a true story, follows the life of an innocent small-town girl with big dreams of celebrity stardom and her shocking journey through the porn industry.
The story is not a joyful one. It paints a picture of a troubled life filled with depression. It’s the story of a woman desperately trying to escape a restrictive religious family who then finds herself in an abusive relationship and is forced into the porn industry by her husband, Chuck Traynor.
Linda Lovelace’s fame can be attributed to her scandalous role in the 1972 film Deep Throat, which Seyfried described to ABC News as her character’s “escape from her husband.”
The movie portrays Lovelace’s innocent youth and the turbulent events that followed, leading her to become one of pornography’s most notorious stars.
Seyfried looks very different as she transforms herself into the porn star with a curly brunette wig and maroon monokini. When asked about her character, Seyfried responded, “It’s going to be really hard and kind of terrifying at the same time. It’s something completely different.”
It is most certainly going to be something different! The eagerly anticipated film is set to be released in August but the trailer is already enticing audiences worldwide.
But it’s not all serious because the cast includes celeb hotties like James Franco, Adam Brody and even Sarah Jessica Parker, who is rumoured to have wound up on the cutting room floor!
