Will specs make Jenny McCarthy look more serious on The View?

If we played a game of word association and someone shouted “Jenny McCarthy,” we’d stutter back words like “Playboy bunny” and “funny.” Now that Jenny will join the panel on The View, we get the impression that she’s sporting glasses to give herself a more professional and serious image. We’re not sure we’re buying it.

This is how we’re used to seeing Jenny McCarthy. She can rock a pair of bunny ears (what did you think we were going to say?) with the best of them. She’s got the girls out there on full display, and she’s having a great time. We see Jenny as a bit more of the life of the party and not so much the talk-show panelist debating politics and current events.

Jenny uploaded this photo to Facebook and asked her Facebook fam what they thought. Was she piloting this look before she auditioned for The View? Was she curious to see if there would be any backlash? Maybe she just liked them. Glasses for Jenny serve two purposes — they make her look a bit more studious while maintaining her very sexy image.

Here’s a picture of a bespectacled Jenny from The View. Jenny is coming to The View table as Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Joy Behar and Barbara Walters exit stage left (Babs will stay in front of the camera until next summer, when she’ll go behind the scenes and remain a producer of the show). Barbara Walters said in a statement that Jenny brings “intelligence, warmth and humor to the show.”

Jenny put the “fun” in “fundraising” when she wore these gems to the “It’s a Ravioli Rivalry.” Let the peepers, the pasta and the good times roll. We’re fairly certain Jenny is fulfilling every guy’s “naughty secretary” fantasy when she rocks the rims — we anticipate that the male viewing audience of The View will grow exponentially.

We searched and searched to find a bad look for Jenny, and we failed. Miserably. This woman could walk around in green slime and put the rest of us to shame. Here Jenny shines in the mid-afternoon sun with her “Ode to Risky Business” eyewear.

MEE-ow. This is the Jenny we know and love. Leopard print? Check. Saucy lingerie? Check. Supah-fly glasses? Check. To-die-for figure? Double check. Will the women in The View audience relate to someone who looks like this? Of course! Jenny is a mom (b****! Just kidding, of course. But please, could we have one stretch mark?), she’s hilarious and she’s been very vocal about her personal struggle raising an autistic child. Glasses or no glasses, we think The View audience will warm to Jenny quickly.
