John Mayer and Katy Perry team up for “Who You Love

The on-again/off-again/who-knows couple John Mayer and Katy Perry have collaborated on the lovey-dovey snooze-fest “Who You Love.” Take a listen.

When asked about her relationship with tortured lothario John Mayer, Katy Perry said they were “doing a lot of collaborating.”

Well, the fruits of their “collaboration” have now been born on the internet.

Today, we got the first taste of Perry and Mayer singing “Who You Love” off of his upcoming album, Paradise Valley due out Aug. 20.

The snoozy duet features the lovey-dovey duo singing “Oh you can’t make yourself stop dreaming of who you’re dreaming of/If it’s who you’ll love it’s who you love.”

I am probably not going to be taking love advice from either Mayer or Perry, but I appreciate the thought guys.

John Mayer wont admit “Paper Doll” is about Taylor Swift >>

As we know, Mayer has dated his fair share of Hollywood ladies including Jessica Simpson, Cameron Diaz, Minka Kelly and Jennifer Aniston — and that was in just one year.

That’s not to mention Jennifer Love Hewitt, Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Renee Zellweger, and of course he was the subject of the song “Dear John” by the lovely and young Taylor Swift.

Perry? Well, she was divorced via text from another lothario, Russell Brand. Having said before that her relationship with Brand was very controlling, it seems her new song “Roar” may just be about him.

But in “Who You Love,” Perry and Mayer only have eyes for each other. Perry even sings a high-pitched “You’re who I love” at the end of the song before breaking out in a schoolgirl giggle.

It’s all very cute, but really brings nothing to the table as far as music goes. However, I can guarantee you that we will be hearing it in every single dentist office for years to come.

Ah, young love.
