It’s the end of the road for country singers Jana Kramer and Brantley Gilbert, who announced on Thursday that they had ended their engagement.
Two country stars are singing the blues today after they confirmed the end of their engagement. Singers Jana Kramer and Brantley Gilbert broke the news to People magazine on Thursday about their breakup.
It seems like distance did not make the heart grow fonder — it actually split them apart.
A source told the entertainment magazine, “They are both so busy right now. They are both on the road and have to spend a lot of time apart, which isn’t ideal for any couple, let alone a couple trying to plan a wedding.”

There weren’t any other parties involved, but their careers took priority over their relationship.
The insider added, “There was no foul play involved, it’s nothing like that. They were happy together but know what’s best.”
This would have been the 29-year-old Kramer’s third marriage. She was previously married to Michael Gambino in 2004 and to actor Johnathon Schaech for only a month in 2010.

The couple got engaged in Nashville in January, on Gilbert’s 28th birthday. He proposed at the site of the former Grand Ole Opry stage where June Carter and Johnny Cash met.
At the time, they told People, “We could not be happier! We are so excited to share this special time with our loved ones and cannot wait to start the rest of our lives together.”
The couple were also individually nominated for a best new artist award at the Academy of Country Music Awards in April.
