They said bye, bye, bye a decade ago, but you might be seeing NSYNC back together sooner rather than later — Justin Timberlake included!
The rumor mill is hot, hot, hot this morning with a report that a favorite millennial boy band with one very famous member may be reuniting very soon!
In a tweet that has since been deleted, MTV intern Brett S. Vergara revealed that NSYNC will be reuniting at the VMAs this Sunday, joined by their most successful member Justin Timberlake! We can’t stop using exclamation points because this is so rad!

While that tweet is gone, conversations relating to the news still appear on Vergara’s feed.

Timberlake is set to receive the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award and will reportedly be joined by J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick for a special performance.
The boys were all spotted in Timberlake’s special VIP section at his Miami concert Friday night, alongside pal Jay Z, wife Jessica Biel and Timberlake’s mom Lynn Harless, according to the New York Post.
The group, which announced its hiatus in 2002, last performed together at the 2003 Grammy Awards.
Timberlake is tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most award nominations this year with six each, including Video of the Year for “Mirrors” and “Thrift Shop” respectively. JT is also nominated for Best Male Video, Best Pop Video, Best Editing, Best Collaboration and Best Direction.
Reps for Timberlake, Fatone, Chasez, Bass and Kirkpatrick were all mum on the rumor, but Kirkpatrick did talk about the possibility back in 2009.
“I think when the stars are aligned, the time is right, and all five of us have our heads on straight and know the direction we’re going as a band, it’ll eventually happen,” he told People. “If not, I know we’ll be best friends forever.”
The stars may just align this weekend!
