Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus team up to “Twerk

Just when you thought you could get those awkward Miley Cyrus twerking images out of your brain, she showed us all she had more tricks up her sleeve.

Hey, Miley Cyrus did say her performance at the VMAs was going to be memorable.

But just how memorable? We’re still talking about her, and the VMAs were like forever ago.

So I knew she could sing, twerk, be a rebel without a cause and now push boundaries with her behavior, but little did I know she was an astute businesswoman.

She not only left people in awe of her performance, but she became even more of a household name (albeit not for the most commendable reasons) overnight. The internet was afire, and the flames will continue to burn now that she’s released the collaborative piece “Twerk” with Justin Bieber and Lil Twist.

It’s got to be genius planning on her part to extend her fame just a wee bit longer by dropping a song about her key dance skill just days after her controversial performance.

She put some real “werk” behind that twerk.

Besides her slightly whiny recital of the word “twerk” and Bieber’s use of the delightfully irritating word “swaggy,” it’s strangely catchy. Borderline futuristic trap beats surround the single, but it has R&B/pop elements you’d find in some early Chris Brown music. So though you want to hate yourself for all you’re worth because you find your hips moving a little more than they should when this comes on the radio, just enjoy the show.

Ladies and gentlemen, Miley Cyrus definitely knows how to put one on.

Who’s ready to see what else she’s going to pull out of her hat? Hopefully no more drug teddy bears.
