Not all shows are created equal — that is, suitable to watch episode after episode for hours on end. However, there are a few shows that exist that we believe are binge-worthy.

Thanks to services like Netflix, On Demand and DVR, we no longer have to wait around to watch the shows we fall in love with. Here are the top television shows we have in our queue.

As we watch each season unfold, we can’t help but relate to the Dunphy/Pritchett/Tucker families from the hit ABC show. Modern Family feels real — addressing culture, gender, sexuality and relationships. And we can’t forget the funny factor. Phil Dunphy brings the laughs, creating organic humor by rattling off hilarious bits of wisdom like “When life give you lemonade, make lemons” and “If you love something, set it free… unless it’s a tiger.” As for his family members — they’re equally as funny, making us laugh with their goofy yet dysfunctional antics episode after episode.

Prepare to be hooked! Orange is the New Black is based on the best-selling memoir of Piper Kerman, a woman from Connecticut who ended up in federal prison for 15 months after becoming an international drug smuggler for her lesbian lover. Netflix users have quickly fallen in love with this dramedy after just a few months of it being available. The show balances the right combination of drama and humor, making it a surprisingly addictive series that any woman will stay curled up on the couch for hours just to watch.

We can never get too much of Army Wives. While the lineup has changed over the past six years, this Lifetime series delivers thought-provoking explorations of issues that are faced by military families and provides dramatic story lines that make us keep coming back for more. A great show for all women, Army Wives reminds women of the meaning of friendship and the importance of coming together in times of need.

Since its debut in 2008, this AMC hit show has been receiving rave reviews, and we understand why. Albuquerque, New Mexico — Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher, is diagnosed with cancer. To ensure his family is financially secure, Walter starts cooking crystal meth with one of his old students. Things quickly turn bad as the business venture puts them in conflict with the Mexican drug cartel and the DEA. Between the gut-wrenching twists and action-packed story line, this AMC hit show is a must-see that will keep delivering surprises.

Looking for an irresistible weekly pleasure? Look no further than Lifetime’s The Client List. On the hit show, Jennifer Love Hewitt plays a Texas housewife who takes a day job as a massage therapist. When she realizes massages aren’t the only services being offered, she quickly jumps at the opportunity to partner with the parlor’s owner to run the massage-plus business, with hopes of earning some extra money to help support her family. While the show is definitely sexier than the rest, the exceptional cast and sexual component make The Client List a must-watch.

There’s something about FOX’s New Girl. Maybe it’s the quirky but lovable cast or the relatable dialogue, but either way we can’t seem to get enough of the show — and apparently everyone else can’t either. The comedy aimed at young women revolves around a group of three young men and the cute but awkward roommate Jess (Zooey Deschanel). The show that premiered in 2011 highlights relationships and friendships to job losses and everything in between to make it one of our favorite comedies on TV in a long time.

Cancel your fall plans because America’s favorite television crime drama is back for another season this fall. Until then, prepare to binge-watch reruns while we and every other Law & Order: Special Victims Unit fan eagerly await the season premiere that will pick up in Olivia Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) apartment just a few hours after we left her in the cliffhanger finale. As for the rest of the season — we can’t wait for that either. Shows are expected to be themed around popular headline cases.

Obsessed much? I know we are. For eight seasons, we’ve followed the hit drama and watched Dexter, serial killer/superhero and Miami Metro P.D. blood spatter expert fall in love, raise a family and catch bad guys. While we’ve certainly enjoyed the gut-wrenching drama and infinite twists, turns and surprises, it’s time to say goodbye to the plastic and gloves. Don’t worry — it’s not forever. While Showtime may be wrapping up the series for good, fans can continue getting their regular dose of Dexter as much as they want on Netflix and on DVD.
