Another famous face has joined The Hunger Games cast. Get ready for actress Julianne Moore to step into the role of President Alma Coin.
Back in June, there were rumors that Julianne Moore was in talks to join The Hunger Games series of films. The news was officially announced on Friday that the four-time Oscar nominee was joining the cast.
Moore will play President Alma Coin in two films, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Parts 1 and 2. Her character is the head of the rebel forces fighting against the Capitol of Panem, and she is often found battling with the main character, Katniss Everdeen, in the story.
The actress shared her excitement about the role with her followers on Twitter.

The juicy role in the franchise will be a bit of a departure for Moore, who is better known for playing Sarah Palin in HBO’s Game Change last year, her recurring role on 30 Rock and on the big screen in The Kids Are All Right.
While the films have made worldwide stars out of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, there will be several newcomers to the final films. Evan Ross, Stef Dawson, and Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer will be joining the cast.
