The 65th Emmys are upon us (airing Sunday, Sept. 22) and we could not be more excited to see which of our television addictions and celebrity obsessions will win. Here are just a few of the interesting facts and figures behind the Emmys.

CBS and NBC are tied with 53 nominations each

Cable network with most nominations

HBO has the most nominations, with 108 (the runner-up is Showtime with 31)

Most nominations for broadband

Netflix has a commanding lead with 14 nominations

Comedy Series most nominated

30 Rock with 13 nods

Drama Series with most nominations

Game of Thrones has 16 nominations

Reality Program most nominated

Dancing With the Stars has nine nominations

Show with most freakin’ nominations ever

Saturday Night Live has had 171 Emmy nominations in its 35-year run, and has won 36

Variety show with most Emmy nods

The Colbert Report and The Daily Showwith Jon Stewart are tied with six nominations each

Did you know…

Of all the drama series nominated for Emmys this year, Mad Men has had the most overall nominations since 2008 with a total of 97 nominations and 15 wins?
