Sarah Hyland was full of compliments about the style choices of her fellow stars on the Emmys red carpet. She also revealed how she co-designed her own gown.
Sarah Hyland was all compliments and smiles on the Emmys red carpet on Sunday while admiring the fashion of her fellow celebrities.
When SheKnows asked Hyland whose style she was admiring at the Emmys, the Modern Family star commented on the style of 13-year-old Mad Men actress Kiernan Shipka.
Hyland said Shipka’s style choices, which included a cute floral Delpozo dress and Jimmy Choo shoes, made the young actress look, “age appropriate, fun and she looks gorgeous as always.”
When asked if she was a Mad Men fan, Hyland responded by saying, “I’m a Kiernan fan, because she’s like 15 maybe and she’s like a mini Grace Kelly.”
The actress represents the style of Grace Kelly herself, as she has a keen eye for fashion and always looks elegant during her public appearances.
Hyland graced the Emmys red carpet with a beautiful emerald green dress that she had actually co-designed with Venezuelan-American fashion designer Carolina Herrera.
Hyland told SheKnows, “It’s the first co-design she has done for her C.H. Carolina Herrera line.”
The actress went on to explain her Modern Family character, Haley Dunphy — the hit TV series was nominated for numerous awards — saying, “She’s at community college, she’s living at home now. And… there may be a new guy in her life.”
When asked if the new guy in Haley’s life would be more mature than her character’s last boyfriend, the actress joked, “I think a dog is more mature than Dylan, I think she can only go up.”
