Makes sense, given that she’s called the “Croatian Sensation,” right? Monika Jakisic says she’s the first supermodel to come out of the Eastern European country. She even refers to herself as “a daughter from a war torn country of Croatia” on her Twitter bio.
She has a past with George Clooney
The pair was first linked together in 2007 after paps caught the bachelor with a pretty brunette on his yacht off the coast of St. Tropez.

Jakisic was named Esquire‘s Sexiest Girl Alive in 2010. The magazine said she was “proof that modeling competitions actually do good in the world. Also, Clooney approves.”
She’s educated
George’s new squeeze first broke into media and entertainment by studying fashion at London’s College of Fashion. She later starred on Channel 4’s Big Breakfast and did some stints on MTV before participating in the Storm Look Modeling competition. The exposure eventually led her to sign with Select Modeling Agency.
She’s pals with Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber
Cindy Crawford’s husband, Rande Gerber, is like BFFs with George Clooney — they even launched a tequila brand together. So it’s only natural Jakisic join that friendship. The model was recently photographed rubbing elbows with Gerber and Crawford — and we can only imagine that Clooney himself took the picture!

Clooney and Jakisic talk about their respective humanitarian efforts whenever they’re together. She even wrote about Clooney’s arrest in Washington, D.C. for demonstrating about the atrocities happening in Sudan.
“Every time I’ve been out with George — he’s always passionately talked to me about the humanitarian crisis raging in the area — even if we’ve been partying — he’s talked about it,” she wrote in an article for LA Splash. “George has always said — Everyone needs to take notice of it.”

Jakisic might be dating one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, but she gets starstruck whenever she crosses paths with another A-lister.
“I bumped into one of my favorite actors, Will Smith, at Soho House, in West Hollywood,” she wrote on LA Splash. “Before saying hi, my big question was: ‘Is Will the genuine, comical guy we think he is?’ My answer is a definite yes. He was super-polite and before leaving, came over to me and said: ‘It was really sweet meeting you. Good-bye.’ The man is a true Hollywood gent!”

It’s only natural that someone like Jakisic would have a lot of male suitors. The model is constantly posting photos of roses on Facebook. Are they from a bunch of men… or only one man in particular? She isn’t saying!
