Another Glee cast member gets engaged! This time, the happy news is for Dot-Marie Jones and her longtime girlfriend Bridgett Casteen.
There has been some very happy news for the cast of Glee lately and Dot-Marie Jones can partake in that happiness.
The very talented Jones has followed in the footsteps of her co-star Naya Rivera and just recently got engaged to her longtime girlfriend Bridgett Casteen.
The actress, who is best known for her role as gym coach Shannon Beiste since 2010 on the hit series Glee, decided to pop the question to her longtime girlfriend on Friday in a fun and romantic proposal near the Disneyland Resort’s Sleeping Beauty Castle in Anaheim, California.
Jones chose the special day of the Anaheim Gay Days to ask her love to marry her — an event that is held annually in support of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) rights.
Jones gushed to the Advocate, “It’s the happiest day of my life. I never thought I’d find somebody that is so loving and kind.”
It is not just Jones who is thrilled with the news, as her partner Casteen shared her joy on Twitter.
Casteen tweeted, “Thank you @dotmariejones for making me the happiest woman in the world. #engaged.”

And the three-time Emmy nominated actress certainly deserves every bit of happiness in her life! Jones, who was relentlessly teased and taunted as a child, is an inspiration to all those who have suffered from the hurtful words and actions of others.
Other good news for the cast of Glee comes with the news of Heather Morris and her long-term boyfriend Taylor Hubbell, welcoming their beautiful newborn boy Elijah into the world, and Rivera’s engagement to rapper Big Sean after just six months of dating.
