At 66, Suzanne Somers still has sex “a couple times a day

Just a week after Miley Cyrus said sex stops after 40, Suzanne Somers proved her wrong by talking about her and her husband’s very, very healthy sex life.

In what may be the most timely declaration of all time, Suzanne Somers debunked Miley Cyrusclaims that sex stops after 40, and declared her sex life is very, very active.

The 66-year-old actress appeared on The Talk and said her and her husband of 36 years, Alan Hamel, still have sex “a couple times a day.”

Where do they find the time?!

“He’s on hormones, I’m on hormones,” Somers explained on the show, according to the LA Times.

The panel on The Talk obviously had many, many follow-up questions — the most-obvious being whether those two times are right next to each other or spread throughout the day.

“There’s some level at four in the morning and then I’m really awake around eight or so,” Somers said. “We have busy mornings.”

Wow! Somers is out promoting her new book, I’m Too Young for This, and also recently told Katie Couric that a good sex life is a good life.

“A healthy person is a sexual person,” Somers said. “You know, it’s all biology. Well first of all, I desire him, to begin with.”

Somers is a breast cancer survivor and does all she can to stay fit and healthy. Her claims about all the sex she is still having at the age of 66 flies in the face of what 20-year-old Cyrus said to Matt Lauer last week.

“I heard when you turn 40 things start to go a little less sexual,” the pop star told Lauer. “I heard that’s when people don’t have sex anymore.”

Cyrus may be done after 40, but Somers has proven that when it comes to sex, age is nothing but a number.
