Camille Grammer is taking charge of her health. On Friday, it was revealed that she was recovering from surgery after undergoing a radical hysterectomy. The reality star was recently diagnosed with early-stage endometrial cancer.

Her representative, Howard Bragman, told People about her condition.

Not only had she been diagnosed with cancer, but she has a genetic history of cancer. Therefore, she took preventative measures.

Bragman revealed, “[She] has been diligent about regular checkups and monitoring, which explains the early detection and rapid treatment.”

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star received love and support from one of her fellow Bravo TV cast members.

Brandi Glanville told E! News, “Camille is a strong woman and I know she’ll come out of this even stronger. She has been a good friend to me and I send her all my love.”

According to the American Cancer Society, endometrial cancer “starts in the endometrium, the inner lining of the uterus (womb). Thanks to advances in detection and treatment, more than 500,000 women are survivors of this cancer.”

Even though Grammer will have a long recovery, she wants women to make their own health a priority.

Her rep concluded, “Ms. Grammer expresses gratitude to all the amazing health care professionals who have taken such loving and nurturing care of her. She urges all women to be aware of genetic factors relating to women’s cancers and get regular checkups.”

Get well soon, Camille!
