Alert the media, Ron Burgundy is back! Paramount has released a new trailer for this winter’s Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Rob Burgundy is ready to tackle the ’80s. After a lengthy hiatus, he’s returned in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. But San Diego’s favorite newscaster has his work cut out for him. It’s a new day, a new network and he’s got a new boss.

Burgundy is joined by co-anchor and wife, Veronica Corningstone (Christina Applegate), weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), man on the street Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd) and sports guy Champ Kind (David Koechner). The group has a hard time adjusting to their gigs on a 24-hour news channel.

In the latest trailer, we see how far the gang’s come as well as how far they have to go. In the previous film, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, the major plot point was women in the workplace. Burgundy was stuck in his ways and struggled to accept Corningstone as his equal.

This time around, more boundaries are being pushed. Burgundy’s new boss is an African-American woman called Linda Jackson (Meagan Good). As you can imagine, his reaction to her is extremely inappropriate. But don’t worry, Linda’s no weeping willow. She can stand up for herself and happily puts Burgundy in his place.
