The new Christian Grey: 5 Things to know about Jamie Dornan

Irish hunk Jamie Dornan has been tapped to replace Charlie Hunnam in Fifty Shades of Grey. Who is this smoldering sexpot? Here’s everything you need to know.

1

You’ve seen him before — both naked and clothed

Jamie Dornan plays Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman on the hit TV show Once Upon a Time, stars alongside Kirsten Dunst in Marie Antoinette, and takes it (almost) all off as a Calvin Klein underwear model, earning him the nickname “the Golden Torso.”

“I mean, [the Huntsman] is a cool role to play,” he told E! News earlier this year. “My only thing is that Chris Hemsworth is playing the Huntsman [in Snow White and the Huntsman] and he looks like a proper man. I look like, you know, a woman in drag.”

We beg to differ.

He has a thing for other performers

Dornan dated fellow actor Keira Knightley for two years and has been linked to Lindsay Lohan, Kate Moss and Sienna Miller. He has been married to actress and singer-songwriter Amelia Warner, the ex-wife of Colin Farrell, since April 2013, and the couple are expecting their first child together.

He is working with our favorite redhead

Dornan co-stars with X-Files vet Gillian Anderson in the British drama The Fall, playing a serial killer terrorizing the Irish city of Belfast. “I spent a day strangling myself on the back of a door while I masturbated to a driving license of one of my victims… that’s not an easy day at the office!” he told Digital Spy of the show. “And they cut it out! I couldn’t believe it — they didn’t even tell me. When I first watched the series, it just wasn’t there!”

4

He’s got a musical side

Dornan was a member of the folk band Sons of Jim, and even toured with Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall as her opening act — but they disbanded in 2008.

He made Fifty Shades of Grey fans explode on Twitter when they heard the news
