Ciara and Future got engaged after the rapper proposed to his love while they celebrated the R&B singer’s birthday in New York City.
During a birthday celebration in New York City, Ciara got the best gift ever when her boyfriend, rapper and producer Future, proposed to her with a surprise engagement.
Ciara and Future were celebrating the “I’m Out” singer‘s 28th birthday in the Big Apple when her hit-making beau presented her with a ring. The two music artists have been dating for a year, the Associated Press reported, and so far they haven’t set a wedding date yet.

“Future surprised Ciara with an engagement ring this weekend, also her birthday weekend, in New York City,” the couple’s publicist, Chris Chambers, told People magazine. “The ring, which doubled as a special birthday gift, is a beautiful 15-carat emerald-cut diamond designed by Avianne & Co.”
After the b-day bash and proposal, Ciara took to Twitter to tell her fans how happy she was and to share the news.
“Today Has 2 Be Like One Of The Sweetest Days Of My Life! #TheBestBirthdayEver,” the singing diva wrote. “If I’m dreaming I Don’t Want To Wake Up..Aaaaaahhh!!!:)”
During an interview with New York’s Hot 97 this past August, Future, whose real name is Nayvadius Wilburn, insinuated he was ready to marry Ciara. “This is it,” he told the host, referring to his Grammy-winning girlfriend.
“I don’t get into nothing to get out,” he continued. “This is the one.”
Future’s second album comes out in November, after having worked with other artists including Rihanna, Lil Wayne and Miley Cyrus. He also collaborated with his new fiancée on her fifth album titled Ciara, which was released this July.
