Mary Steenburgen plays lounge singer Diana, who leaves her empty nest and heads straight to Vegas. Here, she meets the four friends throwing a bachelor party. While Diana takes a risk in the film, Steenburgen revealed that singing in the film was actually quite the risk for her.
“I was paralleling Diana because it was really scary for me to sing in this movie, and to start something new at this age in my life that I wasn’t very confident about at all,” Steenburgen reveals. “So I understood her from the get-go because I was doing was she was doing.

“I believe in taking those leaps in life, though,” she adds. “I think if you don’t keep doing that and scaring yourself and saying ‘yes’ to things that are scary to you all along, that life gets a little sad.”
But the music business isn’t something completely foreign to her. She’s a songwriter and writes music for Universal Music Publishing Group. She has even written for Tim McGraw! She said she would even collaborate with one pop superstar in particular:

“I have a very dear friend that I love, believe it or not, named Justin Timberlake,” she says. “I would go anywhere with Justin; I love him.”
One thing she wouldn’t reveal? Who she would choose between Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Kline and Michael Douglas, if they were all vying for her heart. She does, though, describe each actor in one word, and some of them may surprise you. You’ll have to watch to find out!
