2003 – The present
Although Crow’s true second-coming in music seems to be now — she is up for Artist of the Year: Female and Single of the Year: Female at this year’s ACAs — her music shifted in the early 2000s due to two events : the death of her friend Kent Sexton, after which she took a break, and the invasion of Iraq, which she strongly opposed. Over the last decade, her music took a decidedly country turn. Our faves?
