Is Pippa Middleton engaged… for real this time?

As the sister of the future queen of England, Pippa Middleton is a natural media magnet. But is her rumored engagement for real this time?

Let the newest engagement rumors begin. Us Weekly is (again) reporting that Pippa Middleton is engaged to her banker boyfriend Nico Jackson. But this isn’t the first time an engagement has been reported, and Pippa’s lips are sealed.

Sources reportedly told the magazine that Jackson proposed to Middleton in early December during a trip to Oberoi Amarvilas in India, near the Taj Mahal.

“It was exactly how he planned it,” the source said. “Very romantic and grand!”

Middleton and Jackson have been together for 15 months, much less than the eight or so years (depending on who you ask) that her sister Kate Middleton and Prince William were together before they were married.

Pippa Middleton and Jackson had been reported to have been engaged back in September, but that rumor was proven false. The word at the time was that they didn’t want to announce it yet because they didn’t want to take the spotlight away from the birth of her nephew Prince George.

So will this one also be proven false? A source told the Daily Mail that the couple are absolutely not engaged.

But if it is true, the couple look happy together, and the party planner sister of the Duchess of Cambridge may be ready this time. And much more important, Middleton’s parents approve of the pairing.

“We are very pleased, and yes, they seem very happy — so that is the perfect answer for them, isn’t it?” her mom told the Mirror back in September. “We have met and she is absolutely charming. I really cannot say any more.”

The same source reportedly said the two plan to have a nice, quiet holiday, splitting their time between her parents’ home and a vacation in the Alps. If they are actually engaged this time, they are expected to be married in 2014. But don’t count on it.
