Top 9 sexiest (and shirtless!) movies

Forget all the buzz about Golden Globe noms, what we really care about are the many muscled men of the movies. Take a look at our top 10 flicks filled with our fave cinema studs and give thanks to all the gyms and trainers who helped them get their chiseled chests.

Pain & Gain

Pain & Gain was based on a true story about some Floridian gym-rats who almost got away with a mega-heist. Mark Wahlberg‘s arms look like tree trunks in this movie and we can only imagine what it must be like to be wrapped up in them (sigh). The former Calvin Klein model can also be seen in the film Lone Survivor, about a failed Navy SEALS mission, out in theaters Jan. 10.

Adorable Matt Damon really got buffed out for his role of Max in the futuristic dystopian tale that also starred Jodie Foster. Damon reportedly spent four hours each day in the gym — now that’s dedication! Plus, we love the tats.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

Sam Claflin was adorbs as the charming Finnick and really brought sexy back to Panem. But of course we can’t forget about Katniss’ (Jennifer Lawrence) love triangle with Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and Gale (Liam Hemsworth). So many men, so many battles to the death — what’s a tribute to do? The Hunger Games MockingJay: Part 1 releases in November of this year.

Those abs, those claws! Hugh Jackman can star in every movie, as far as we’re concerned. After banking over $130 million at the box office, we’re pretty sure a sequel is in the works.

Fast & Furious 6 & 7

Our dearest Paul, words can’t express how much we miss you. Thank you for giving us Fast & Furious 6 and we’re looking forward to seeing as much of you as we can in 7. The Hollywood Reporter says the franchise’s producers aren’t going to kill off the character of O’Conner, but rather have him choose to leave the action to focus on his wife and child. We like that plan. R.I.P., Paul.

Yes, we love, love, love actor Kit Harington on HBO’s Game of Thrones and we’re super-psyched to see the cuddly Brit on the big screen. We think the slave-turned-gladiator plot line is interesting for a film where a volcano is the true menace to society. We’re getting our popcorn ready!

300: Rise of an Empire

Aussie hottie Sullivan Stapleton (Animal Kingdom) heats up the ancient world as Themistocles in this battle sequel full of blood, guts and super-sexy leather outfits. As far as we’re concerned, Stapleton isn’t merely mortal, but more like a Greek god.

The Legend of Hercules

This Twilighter has evolved into the biggest action hunk of 2014 and we think he’s most definitely the best choice to play the demigod Hercules. This half-mortal son of Zeus has wild powers he luckily uses for good. The Legend of Hercules also stars Gaia Weiss as Hebe and Roxanne McKee (Game of Thrones) as Queen Alcmene. The movie opens Friday, Jan. 10.

Magic Mike

Magic Mike was the epitome of movies about hot, buff, naked dudes — and they can dance! IMDb says that Magic Mike 2 is in development and describes the project as “the continuing story of male stripper, Magic Mike.” Rumor has it that ChanTat may even direct. Please let this be true!
