All “eyes” will be on Lena Dunham‘s Golden Globes dress come Sunday. It seems the Girls star and creator is promising to go all out in 2014, taking inspiration from a tater.
Posting the curious photo below to Instagram on Friday afternoon, the young woman we’ve come to know and love as Hannah Horvath told her 650,000 followers, “This is what I’m wearing to the Golden Globes!”

As one Instagram user commented in response to Lena Dunham’s earthy “outfit” pick, “Potato horns are the new kale leaves.”
Frankly, we’d like to see the celebrated nominee pull this look off in one way or another!

Coincidentally, the HBO show’s third season kicks off on the same night as the awards ceremony.
Of the overlap, Dunham told MTV, “Golden Globes and the premiere of Girls, so people will have to make a choice about what to watch, about whether to watch me look confused at an awards show or about whether to watch the actual show.”
The 27-year-old has an extra reason to keep a close ear on the names being called from the podium in 2014: Her boyfriend extraordinaire, fun. guitarist Jack Antonoff, has also received a nod.
“I’m so proud of him,” Dunham gushed. “I mean that would be the craziest thing in the world [if we both won]. We’d probably beat each other over the head with them and die. I can’t even imagine.”
