Ciara announced her engagement only a few months ago and now has confirmed she’s pregnant with her first child. It’s shaping up to be a very exciting year for the singer and her rapper fiancé.
It’s been rumored for a while, but Ciara finally confirmed that yes, she’s going to be a mom!

The singer appeared on The View on Tuesday and announced her pregnancy. The 28-year-old was engaged to her fiancé, rapper and producer Future, back in October.
Barbara Walters asked Ciara if she’d like to confirm her pregnancy on the show. And, according to ABC, she responded, “Of course! I would love to, so…” and stood up to show off her baby bump.
According to People, Future already has three children from previous relationships.
Ciara posted a photo to her Instagram page Monday night, Jan. 13, which seems to show the beginning of a baby bump.

Future proposed during Ciara’s birthday weekend, with a 15-carat custom ring. Baby rumors started around December when the singer was seen on numerous occasions wearing baggier clothes than normal.
The singer is now right in the middle of wedding planning. The couple plans to have two different events.
“It’s going to be two parts,” she told People. “We’re both from Atlanta and we have so many family and friends. It’s going to be hard to get everybody in one place, so we’re going to do a celebration part and a wedding.”
Ciara and Future had previously said they wanted to have a short engagement, and it’s not clear if the pregnancy will change that. Ciara had said she definitely wanted to have a form-fitting dress, but also wants “to go a little vintage, a little throwback classic almost like my mom was walking down the aisle,” she said.
“I think I’ll be part bridezilla, I’m not going to lie,” she said. “But I want to be a happy one! I still want it to be a fun process, but I want the dress to be perfect, I want the cake to be perfect, I want the food to be perfect. We’re both looking forward to it.”

As for Future’s role in the wedding planning, it looks like he’s happy to take a back seat.
“He gets to have his say and then he lets me go off and do my thing,” Ciara explained. “I know he’s going to want the fun part to be right. We’re both looking forward to it.”
The dates for the wedding and baby aren’t clear, but it looks like the couple is going to have a very busy year! Congratulations to Ciara and Future.
